imagine a place for the arts … imagine downtown Herndon with an exhibition of a local artist’s new work … imagine getting together with friends and neighbors to see a recital of artists, young and old, in the heart of Herndon… imagine the opportunity to see an award winning play in downtown Herndon featuring local talent … imagine an author presenting an original work in Herndon … imagine talented artists leading classes that share their ability and love of art with our community…  That’s what we imagine when we think of the Arts Center in downtown Herndon.

The Herndon Foundation for the Cultural Arts was formed to promote and support the creation of an Arts Center in Herndon.  With the support of the community and the Town of Herndon, the Foundation would like to create a vibrant venue where the arts can come alive in a revitalized downtown. 

The reality of an Arts Center in Herndon has been a long time in the making.  Many involved citizens and Town leaders contributed to the concept and planning that resulted in the purchase of land for the Arts Center.  The Foundation is leading the way to unite the community in pursuit of this goal and will be working to raise funds and in-kind donations to build, outfit, operate, and endow the Arts Center. 

The Foundation is prepared to carry on the legacy of those who have supported this project over the years and we rise to the challenge of turning dream into reality.  We invite you to join us.
